Black Opium Gallery

Dark and intense, dripping with thick luxuriant golden-brown, inspired by the poppy fields of the Central Asia.

This collection includes large bowls, vases, rice bowls and tea cups. Some pieces are thrown on the wheel, some are hand-built and some are a mixture of both techniques.

Stoneware and a mixed-clay blend are used to give the solid, heavy feel. A limited number of pieces include a 23ct gold leaf applied to the stamp.
